Privacy policy

Last updated Oct 9, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Loopwise ("we", "us") collects when you use https://loopwise-pied.vercel.app, why we collect it and what choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum the site needs.

#The short version

  • You can read every article without giving us any personal data.
  • If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address.
  • If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and Google AdSense to show ads. If you reject cookies, neither loads.
  • We don't sell your personal data.

#What we collect and why

#Newsletter

When you subscribe, we collect your email address and the page you subscribed from. We use it to send the newsletter and to confirm your subscription. Our email provider, Brevo, processes this data on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Our legal basis is your consent.

#Analytics (only if you accept cookies)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how people find them. It sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We enable IP anonymisation. Analytics loads only after you accept cookies. Our legal basis is your consent.

#Advertising (only if you accept cookies)

We show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which can include ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Advertising code loads only after you accept cookies. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation in your Google ad settings. Our legal basis is your consent.

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. When you click one, you leave Loopwise and the destination company may set its own cookies to attribute a sale to us. Their privacy policy governs what they do. We count clicks in aggregate through analytics, if you accepted cookies. See the affiliate disclosure.

#Hosting and logs

Our hosting provider receives technical information needed to deliver the site, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, and keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure site.

#Local storage on your device

We store your colour theme choice and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we can remember them. They are not used to track you.

#Messages you send us

If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to respond and for our records.

#Cookies and your choice

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject cookies for analytics and advertising with equal ease. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Rejecting cookies doesn't limit what you can read.

#Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed:

  • Our email provider (newsletter delivery).
  • Google (analytics and advertising, if you accept cookies).
  • Our hosting and content delivery provider.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

#How long we keep data

  • Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record to honour your opt-out.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics, which we keep as short as practical.
  • Server logs: kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.

#Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete. We don't sell personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising unless you accept advertising cookies. To exercise a right, email usamamuteeb9@gmail.com.

#Children

Loopwise is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

#Security

We use HTTPS across the site and limit access to the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

#Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
